A primary focus of W.A.R.E.S. is the funding of scholarships for students majoring in railway engineering, to encourage young people to pursue careers in the railroad and transit fields. Through this sponsorship program, we make contributions to various regional Universities.

We ask you to consider a sponsorship contribution to support the scholarship fund. A minimum of $500 is greatly appreciated.

Sponsorship is annual and covers the W.A.R.E.S. event year which runs from September through the following August. Sponsorship drive begins February of the calendar year and runs through the end of the year. Ideally, we want to raise the sponsorship money before the end of April, so that the board can award the scholarships by the beginning of Fall semester.

To indicate your generosity, W.A.R.E.S. will include your company’s name, logo and website hyperlink on our website’s Our Sponsors page. Also, your company’s name will be included in a list of sponsors on the program card distributed at each meeting and our meeting notices.
